The heart chakra is the center of your energy system. All energy entering the system enters through the heart chakra. Having a heart chakra that is clear and open is essential to your existence as a spiritual being, for it is through the heart that we connect to God. Most religions emphasize the necessity of having a ‘pure’, unencumbered heart. True forgiveness removes heart blockages and allows energy to flow freely along energy pathways.
Every thought you have creates an energy field. Each energy field also has a particular vibrational rate or frequency to which it resonates. Thoughts of love, unity and happiness create high frequency fields and thoughts of anger, hate, sadness and depression generate lower frequency fields. The high frequency patterns pass freely out along the spiritual body, while low vibrational forms lodge in your energetic pathways in much the same way as cholesterol clogs the veins and arteries of your circulatory system. While cholesterol may block the passage of blood throughout your physical body, low frequency patterns block the flow of energy to your soul.
All blockages are the result of misunderstanding and misperceiving who we are in relation to everything else. I want to speak now of the work I do charting people’s energy, detecting blockage in the different bodies and, most important, the removal of those blockages.
We always start at the heart chakra, since it is the doorway to the energy body. Most people have some blockage in this area. Forgiveness is what clears the blockage; towards others and most of all towards yourself. Forgiveness means letting go of all hurt, blame and fear you imagined you have experienced at the hands of others. I say imagined, because you have truly imagined them in your mind. The low frequency thought forms you have created then stand like sentinels before the gates of your heart and restrict the entrance of spirit. Once the heart chakra is clear, it opens the way for you to remove all other low frequency blockage patterns you have accumulated.
Living from the heart means using your heart as the compass or guide in your decision making. Listen to your mind, but also listen to your heart. If they are at odds, go with your heart! Some call it intuition, for others it is a feeling or a hunch. However it expresses itself for you, it is important to pay attention. Love speaks the loudest. Love is not really an emotion at all, but it is a state of being. It is the essence of all creation and the glue that binds it into one unified whole. Emotions are all distortions of love, created in our minds. The heart knows only love. Follow its direction and you can’t go wrong.
Sometimes people experience a ‘broken heart’ when a relationship does not go as they expected or a breakup occurs. When a loved one dies or we are separated from someone we hold dear, we may experience the feeling of pain in our heart area that seems to be almost unbearable. These are thought forms that our mind has created that lodge in our heart chakra. Because we do not understand the essential nature of existence, our minds distort love. We make it about loss and about lack. These patterns block the heart chakra immediately and the physical pain you feel is the result of that blockage. With time, you may be able to clear this blockage, but every time you dwell upon the event you will put it back in place.
It is not a simple thing to live from the heart. Most people are mind oriented in the world. The mind generally judges ‘heart people’ to be ineffectual and inferior. Terms such as ‘bleeding-heart’ or ‘sentimental fool’ are used to describe people who lead with their hearts, or ‘wear their hearts on their sleeve’. It is more acceptable for women to be heart oriented. Men often consider such expressions by other men to indicate weakness of character. Hope, joy, happiness, appreciation, gratitude and peace all spring from the heart. The heart nurtures and protects. It is the seat of the soul. Living from the heart is the only way to reach peace in your life. With peace comes all of the other attributes of love.
If you are a mind influenced person, you first filter all data through the mind, before you pass it on to the heart. Because the domain of the Ego is the mind, the stronger the Ego, the less likely that the heart will even be consulted. To remedy this, the Ego must first be tamed. It takes discipline of will to subdue the Ego and make it manageable. The true role of the Ego is to differentiate in the world and not to judge. Once the Ego has been humbled, your ‘heart intelligence’ can come into play and you can begin to live from the heart!
