Imagine a field of energy like gravity or magnetism surrounding us all. Now imagine this field of energy getting stronger and stronger as you evolve towards your perfection. You are literally being pulled by attractor patterns within the field of consciousness. There is no doubt that you will eventually reach the highest point of consciousness possible. The question is really when. Will it be in this lifetime, or will it take, as the Buddhists believe, a million lifetimes or more? Change is the process we undergo to move from where we are to where we want to go. Change allows us to evolve.
Karma is the concept we use to describe the reflection of patterns into our lives that are the result of previous lifetimes we have experienced. These pattern, which are lodged within our subtle energy bodies, create the circumstances in our lives now. Things do not just happen to us randomly, but instead are orchestrated by our own “higher selves” or our soul impulses to release the karmic patterns we have created. Karmic patterns are created by low frequency thoughts. Thoughts of hate, jealousy, judgement, cheating, greed, etc., create dense energy structures which settle in various localities within our energy body. Life situations are created, to give us the opportunity to release these karmic patterns through expressions of love.
Actions follow thoughts, so it is the thought process that must change. Your thought process is based upon your perception of how you view the world. People who identify with the lower attractor patterns see the world as a place of suffering and pain. Their thoughts revolve around separateness, lack, hate and loss. If they are able to shift their perspective through expressions of love they begin to release karma.
We are all born into this existence at a certain level of consciousness, depending upon the consciousness level we achieved in our previous lifetime. I chart that level in the spiritual profile I prepare for people. That level is an indicator of why you were born into a particular family, country and life situation. Your level of consciousness is what I describe as your birth “Ray Level”. This ray level corresponds to the different chakra levels of the body. The red ray denotes the root chakra at the base of the spine. This correlates with a consciousness level of 1-99 on a relative scale of 1-1000. No one is born on Earth at this low level anymore.
The next birth ray level is orange which is associated with the second chakra point located just above the public bone. The consciousness level here equates to 100-199. Again, no one comes into this earthly existence at this low level. These levels of consciousness are what David R. Hawkins, M.D., Ph.D. describes as destructive levels of consciousness in his book Power vs. Force.
The third chakra or the yellow ray is located at the solar plexus and corresponds to consciousness levels of 200-259. The fourth chakra or the green ray is at 260-299; the blue ray or the throat chakra is 300-339; the sixth or violet ray at the brow chakra is 340-359; the indigo ray at the crown chakra is located at the top of the head and compares with levels 360-389.
Beyond that, there are five additional chakra points extending above the head. The 8th chakra, or the white ray connects to the emotional body and is 390-439; the gold 9th ray extends into the mental body and is 440-489. No one is born on Earth beyond this level at this time although they can achieve considerably higher levels of consciousness while in this earthly existence. Further levels of consciousness include the platinum ray at levels 490-539; the diamond ray at 540-599 and the emerald ray from 600-1000. The last three levels are located in the spiritual subtle body with the emerald ray progressing to Christ Consciousness.
Once born into this lifetime, we are given countless opportunities to release past karma and progress to higher stages of consciousness. Releasing karma does not mean, however, that your level of consciousness automatically increases. Karmic blockage only makes the path to higher consciousness more arduous and slower. Releasing it speeds up the process. A rise in consciousness can only be obtained by intent and resolve.
The level of consciousness may also drop in this lifetime. Although no one with a consciousness level lower than 200 can be born into this existence, there are many areas of the Earth where the average levels of consciousness are considerably lower (Hawkins). Life circumstances and the inability to resolve karma through love can cause a level of consciousness to decline.
All life is experience and experience is subjective. There are no “good” or “bad” experiences, only experiences that provide us with opportunities learn unconditional love. Change and growth are both a result of our ability to learn these lessons and integrate them into our lives.
